Targeted intervention strategies for inflammation-induced heart and skeletal muscle failure

Our overall aim is to investigate targeted intervention strategies to treat SICM and inflammation-induced muscle wasting. We want to decipher inflammation-induced changes in protein degradation pathways in SICM and inflammatory muscle failure in vivo and in vitro. Using a preclinical mouse model, we will test the translational potential of identified pathways in SICM and inflammatory muscle failure.
