Dr. Karin Neumann is a member of the Scientific Advisory Board of the German Centre for Cardiovascular Research and advises the DZHK on strategic and operational aspects of patient involvement in cardiovascular research. She is currently working on the establishment of a Patient Panel, which aims to make research at the DZHK even more patient-friendly. She is also involved in the Patient Participation Working Group of the German Centers for Health Research.

Karin Neumann joined the DZHK via the German Heart Foundation, where she has been a volunteer representative for several years. Due to her professional background in med-tech, among other things, she is very interested in new developments in medical research and their transfer into practice for patients.
