This proposed project contributes to the focus area "Challenge cardiomyopathies and structural heart disease: from molecular cause to personalised therapy". Multiomics profiling can help to decipher the molecular basis of diseases and thus enable assignment of patients to molecular endotypes that will then receive a more specialized treatment with the ultimate goal of a truly personalised treatment. To this end we will use sample collections of a multicenter study on the impact of immunoadsorption therapy to define criteria to select the subgroup of DCM patients most likely profiting from immunoadsorption by integrating analysis of outcome with genomic, proteomic and metabolomic profiling and phenotyping data. The analysis pipeline developed and tested with this cohort will then be extended to the analysis of additional DCM- and Takotsubo syndrome cohorts available within the DZHK. Furthermore, we will support partner site projects with proteomics profiling.
