Impact of genetics and stress factors on cardiac sarcomeric protein dynamics and mechanical properties of cardiac cells

Our project focuses on cardiac sarcomeric proteins and the mechanical phenotype of cardiomyocytes under pathophysiolocal conditions, aiming to contribute to the understanding of genetically-driven cardiomyopathies. Specifically, it is our goal to disentangle the relationship between structure and function at both: the molecular (protein) and the cellular (mechanics) scale.
