Ranking "Highly Cited Researchers": 15 DZHK researchers among the most cited worldwide

Among the most influential researchers worldwide are 15 scientists from the DZHK: the list of "Highly Cited Researchers" recognises the influence of researchers on their field. It measures how often colleagues cite their work. This year, 6,849 researchers are on the list of "Highly Cited Researchers", which is published every year by the analysis company Clarivate.

For researchers in all disciplines, it is important that their own work is cited in other publications. How often they are cited by their peers is a key indicator of how respected and influential they are within the scientific community. A publication is considered "highly cited" if it ranks among the top 1 per cent of total citations in its subject area and year of publication. Publications between January 2012 and December 2022 were analysed for the current list.
