The exact pathomechanisms of inflammatory cardiomyopathy continue to be relevant to current cardiovascular science.
This retrospective multicenter study investigates molecular markers and signaling pathways of inflammatory cardiomyopathies and interprets them in the context of clinical parameters including echocardiographic data. The goal is to find potential new therapeutic targets. A better understanding of the molecular mechanisms may improve diagnostic methods and future therapies. Data and samples from the TORCH-DZHK1 registry of the German Centre for Cardiovascular Research are used to validate the findings from the original derivation cohort. The study takes place at the Charité Universitätsmedizin Berlin, Campus Benjamin Franklin.
